Copper #1 (Burnt) — Shall consist of No. 1 bare wire, not smaller than No. 16. Wire has been burnt in a fire or by torch and is completely free of plastic, wood and all other contaminants except for carbon from fire. Copper #1 — Shall consist of clean, uncoated copper clippings, punchings, bus bars, pipe and fittings. Free of burnt wire and sweated pipes and joints. Copper #2 — To consist of miscellaneous copper scrap having a nominal 96% copper content. Should be free of brasses and bronzes, excessive oil content, iron and non-metallics. May include hair wire, transformer windings, sweated or unsweated pipes, tinned wire or bus bar and any other copper products with 96% copper recovery. Copper Shavings — Copper chips/shavings from CNC, milling and maching. To be non-magnetic and free of plastic, iron, aluminum, brass and all other contaminants. Also not to contain more than 3% oil or coolant when delivered. Copper Transformer — To consist of transformer core which is silica steel wrapped in coated copper wire. Core can be removed from original case or delivered as is and deduction will be made for case. No restriction on transformer size but only dry type transformers accepted. Wet transformers to be professionally drained and removed from case to ensure no liquid remains prior to delivery. Copper Wire Bright and Shiny — Copper wire that has been mechanically or hand stripped. Shall consist of No. 1 bare, uncoated, unalloyed copper wire, not smaller than No. 16. Wire that has green/patina color from oxidation or burnt color from overheated wires will be graded as Copper #1 burnt. Insulated Copper Wire (BX Cable) — Copper wire from industrial applications with aluminum armor. To be free of all attachments, including electrical boxes & conduit. To be separate from all other wires. Insulated Copper Wire (Cat 5 – Data) — Insulated copper wire from computer/data applications. Connectors to be removed and wire must be separate from all other wires. No other foreign material to be attached. Insulated Copper Wire (Christmas Lights) — To consist of Christmas lights from industrial or residential applications. Bulbs do NOT need to be removed, but timers or control panels do. Strands can be incandescent or LED bulbs, no difference. Insulated Copper Wire Heliax (Cell Phone) — Insulated copper wire from industrial cell phone towers. Consists of copper core, foam insulation, copper outer with plastic covering. To be free of all attachments and foreign materials and to be 50% copper recovery. Small coax with aluminum core not to be included. Insulated Copper Wire Lead-Cased Copper (30-60% Copper) — Shall consist of copper wire inside a lead case. Price based on copper recovery and will be determined upon inspection. Insulated Copper Wire Tech Cable — Solid core copper cable with plastic coating inside aluminum armor and then exterior plastic coating. Can be single conductor all the way to multi-cable control wire. Electric Motors — To consist of whole electric motors and/or dismantle electric motor parts that are primarily copper wound. No excessive steel attachments such as gear reducers, iron bases, pumps or loose free iron allowed. Does NOT include sealed units or cast iron compressors. Insulated Copper Wire #1 (70% Copper) — To consist of copper wire insulated by plastic. Copper wire to minimum pencil leads thickness and maintain shape when bent. #1 insulated to be minimum 70% copper recovery. Examples are street light wire, and solid core wiring from industrial applications. Copper wire to be fine strand (hair), very flexible and does not maintain shape when bent. #2 insulated to be minimum 50% copper recovery. Examples are extension cords and cab tire. Insulated Copper Wire #2 (50% Copper) — To consist of copper wire insulated by plastic. Copper wire to be fine strand (hair), very flexible and does not maintain shape when bent. #2 insulated to be minimum 50% copper recovery. Examples are extension cords and cab tire. Insulated Copper Wire #3 (35% copper) — Insulated low grade copper wire from miscellaneous sources. Wire to be free of attachments, connectors and other non-wire items. Should be 35% copper recovery. Radiator Copper Aluminum Fin (Clean) — Shall consist of clean aluminum and copper radiators, and /or aluminum fins on copper tubing, free of brass tubing, iron and other foreign contaminants. Radiator Copper Aluminum Fin (Dirty) — Shall consist of aluminum and copper radiators, and /or aluminum fins on copper tubing that are removed from steel cases but still have steel ends on radiators. free of brass tubing, iron, wiring, electric fans and other foreign contaminants. Radiator Copper Brass (Clean) — Shall consist of mixed automobile radiators, to be free of aluminum radiators and iron finned radiators. Clean refers to ALL steel being removed from the copper/brass portion of the radiator including the radiator cap. URD (Underground Residential Distribution) Cable — Shall consist of insulated electrical cable with aluminum core and copper outer covered by plastic. Aluminum core may be different sizes and copper outer can be foil material or wire material. (Clean)Brass Valves ,pipes, faucets, screws, radiators, heat exchangers, heater cores, turnings and more.
